A Moon Fit For Building Castles Under Lyrics by Darby O’Trill
Creek
2023
[Intro] Devereaux [Chorus: Darby O'Trill] I used to think things have changed but I'm over that I used to think life was strange but it's more than that I used to have a good heart but I've broken that I used to be scared of death, now I hope for that I used to think things have changed but I'm over that I used to think life was strange but it's more than that I used to have a good heart but I've broken that I used to be scared of death, now I hope for that [Verse 1: Darby O'Trill] Growing up, everybody said I was odd I always kept to myself and was obsessed with the macabre I told my therapist my cause of death will be God She wrote me a prescription then she sent me right off The pills did their job but less than half of the time All they did was cloud the thoughts that I kept in my mind I found escape in music and the movies I liked But I can't escape the fact that I am dying inside Here alone I listen to the voice within the walls It tells me that I am a loser and everything is my fault Walkin' through my house, I see illusions in these halls I watch all of the things I love slowly melt and dissolve [Chorus: Darby O'Trill] I used to think things have changed but I'm over that I used to think life was strange but it's more than that I used to have a good heart but I've broken that I used to be scared of death, now I hope for that I used to think things have changed but I'm over that I used to think life was strange but it's more than that I used to have a good heart but I've broken that I used to be scared of death, now I hope for that [Verse 2: Ouija Macc] Hello! Oh, oh! Know that bitch no good, that was all an act (That was all an act) Just a real-ass hood, yeah, I come from that (Bitch I come from that) Big Chapter 17 on my tummy tat Still juggin' for the ones who ain't coming back If a bigot show they face, hatchet touching that Shovelmane at your grave 'bout to shovel it (Shovel it) Gutterwater in my bong when I'm loading that (Smoke) Stalewind out my lungs, bitch, I'm blowing that (Bitch, I'm blowing that) Wasn't born like this, had to get fly Made a lot of fools bleed just to get by And I'm trying to live right but you could still die Fuck around and end up on the flip side [Chorus: Darby O'Trill] I used to think things have changed but I'm over that I used to think life was strange but it's more than that I used to have a good heart but I've broken that I used to be scared of death, now I hope for that I used to think things have changed but I'm over that I used to think life was strange but it's more than that I used to have a good heart but I've broken that I used to be scared of death, now I hope for that
