It Gets Worse Lyrics by Dark Smith

Prehysteria

2018

[Verse 1]
American youth are growing gray
At the speed of crashing lights
It gets better, no it's all a lie
It gets better, no it’s all a lie
The church and state have waived the rights
Now my soul is up for grabs
I want the one I cannot have
I want the one I cannot, have
[Chorus]
Push the pedal like you mean it
Do you want to reach the edge?
Take your mask off in the treehouse
In the dark, you're among friends
[Verse 2]
American youth find it so hard
Knowing right from analog
Control/delete the monologue
Control/dеlete the monologuе
The suits n' snakes go door to door
Refreshing modems in your head
Go back to sleep, the dream is dead
Go back to sleep, the dream is, dead
[Chorus]
Run the red light like you see it
Can you feel it in your legs?
Scream your lungs out it’s a car crash
In the dark we're best of friends
[Chorus 2]
Let me tell you how it ends
Let me tell you how it ends
Let me tell you how it ends
Let me tell you how it ends, how it ends
Let me tell you how it ends
Come on son, give up the good fight
You know you're just dying to
Pull away from your parasite
He's got the best of you
He's got the best, the best
[Outro]
It gets worse
It gets worse
