I’ll Wait For You Lyrics by Dave Wellington

2019

[Verse 1]
Out from this miry place, only one love I crave
My quest every night and day
I'll wait for You
Casting myself aside, I'll swallow my inward pride
My basest of thoughts denied
I'll wait for You
[Chorus]
I lift up my eyes, where does my help come from?
Promises rise to shield me from rage and storm!
I'm not alone, I'm safe in my Father's arms, faith fills my heart
I'll wait for you
[Verse 2]
To go where Your Spirit calls, I'll master this wayward soul
And sing till Your glory falls
I'll wait for You
To be where Your grace abounds, and dwell where Your peace is found
Your presence is all around
I'll wait for You
[Chorus]
I lift up my eyes, where does my help come from?
Promises rise to shield me from rage and storm!
I'm not alone, I'm safe in my Father's arms, hope fills my heart
Oh-oh-ohh, I'll wait for You
I'll wait for You, You're where my help comes from
I'll wait for You, You shield me from rage and storm!
I'll wait for You, I'm safe in my Father's arms, joy fills my heart
Oh Jesus, I'll wait for You
Oh-oh-ohh, I'll wait
[Bridge]
I'm waiting for fire, I'm waiting for rain
I wait for Your Spirit to fill me again
I wait for Your favour, I wait for Your power
I wait for Your splendour, Lord, I wait for You
I wait for encounter, I'm calling Your name
Come Holy Spirit, I'm ready to change
I wait for Your kingdom, I bow to the King
I honour Your presence and wait here for You
[Outro]
I'll wait for You
Wait here for You
Wait here for You
I wait for You
All that You have for me, Jesus
I'll wait for You
