Brother Our Time Has Come Lyrics by David Ayer

Suicide Squad

0

Cut to outside Patriot Suites in DC, heavy rain is falling. June is in bed, and Flag is eating chicken as he looks out the window.
JUNE:Enchantress.
The change-up occurs, and the loud noise makes Flag turn around and grab his gun before going for the bed, where Enchantress is sitting. As Flag puts his phone in his ear (presumably to call Waller), Enchantress blows on his face, making Flag have a vision.
Flag is now in a hospital…
NURSE: Log time of death. 16:20
…where June is in a bed, on full life support that the nurses are now removing.
FLAG: June?
NURSE: Let's get her down to the morgue.
He goes for her face, saddened.
FLAG: June? June? June. June.
Back to the hotel room.
FLAG: What did you do?
Enchantress puts a finger on her lip and shushes.
FLAG: OK.
He puts his phone down. Enchantress teleports away, first to Waller’s room - where she sees Amanda fast asleep while her phone has a missed call by Rick Flag, and then the briefcase with the heart, that beeps as Enchantress tries to walk closer. She then teleports to another room, with a computer and one of ARGUS’s files opened on the Enchantress pages, featuring a picture of an idol similar to hers.
INCUBUS: Sister.
She sees the voice came from said idol, that is atop a drawer, and grabs it.
ENCHANTRESS: Brother.
She teleports away.
MIDWAY CITY – DOWNTOWN BUSINESS DISTRICTA subway station. Inside a bathroom, a businessman washes his hand as he talks to the cellphone on his shoulder.
BUSINESSMAN: Plus, it could be the routing number. Wanna go for drinks?
In the mirror, we see Enchantress is standing behind him. After he finishes the call, we see that she’s inside the mirror, and extends her arms to grab the guy’s head and bash it against the mirror. He grunts in pain, she teleports to the bathroom itself, and then opens the idol, releasing Incubus, who proceeds to possess the poor sap. He falls seated on the ground, and Enchantress embraces him. Both proceed to speak in a weird, subtitled language.
ENCHANTRESS: Brother I have freed you.
INCUBUS: Where are we?
ENCHANTRESS: The same world only much later
INCUBUS: What happened?
ENCHANTRESS: The humans turned against us
INCUBUS: But they worshipped us? We were gods to them
ENCHANTRESS: Now they worship machines. So I will build a machine that will destroy them all. Build your strength. Feed on them. And wait for me to return.
ENCHANTRESS: Enchantress.
Back to Flag’s room, June reappears.
FLAG: God damn it! June! June!
She sobs, he embraces her.
FLAG: June! I'm sorry. She went somewhere.
He kisses her head.
JUNE:If you have to choose between her or me ...stop her. Promise me you'll stop her. Even if it kills me.
She goes out the room, leaving Flag confused.
Back in Midway City, the possessed businessman walks around the station before collapsing to the ground. The people around are startled, and a nearby officer goes checking on him.
POLICE OFFICER: Sir! Sir, You okay? Can you breathe? Did you take anything? [to the radop] This is 21. Send medical to my location.
A bystander approaches the fallen man.
PHYSICIAN: I'm a physician.
DISPATCHER: Roger. Bringing medical to your location.
PHYSICIAN: No pulse. Starting compressions.
As he does the CPR, a tentacle emerges from the man’s chest, grabbing the physician by the neck. Another one grabs the cops. The mass of fallen men – being filmed by a bystander on her phone – writhes around towards the rail, grabbing a fourth man along the way. An arm covered in markings grabs an electrical cable to charge itself with power, and now the amorphous mass returns to Incubus’s original form.He attacks an incoming train, and begins to lay waste to the subway station.
In the Pentagon, the National Security Advisers are briefed.
POLICE OFFICER 2: Sir, Midway City is under attack. It's a non- human entity.
TOLLIVER:I think you know what to do, sir.
GENERAL: Activate Task Force X ...and get Amanda Waller and her whole circus on scene ASAP.
MILITARY: Sir. [grabs a phone] We're going live with Task Force X. Pull'em.
