The Come Up Lyrics by D’Champ

Holiday Indo

2013

They say the grass is greener
Grew up through that less meaner
Less misdemeanour side
I'd hide a couple under belt
Non-official yet on my concious was felt
Like tethered sheets strappin my cleets still'
In highschool, livin life like a haiku
Anxiety would pry at me till I decided to hide it
Switched to positive and all this shit went away
Took a sway, turned around and played the game
Knew plan B would do so grades never made an A
Tried to master everything always in it for gain
Broke records recklessly as if the world was watching
Slick talking through crews
Overdosed on the most that I'd seen
Tried to bring to life his lifeless means
So we could flee scene
Chose to give up all the meat
See the suffering go obselete
Upon my plate at least
Till fake friends tried to kill me for frills
Laughed faced adjacent at this knife placed in my face
Drunken threats continued hands venued behind
Startin throwin shit at me, tellin me quit actin happy
And then I...
Never-mind the weather got my shit together
Came up with some clever rhymes
Knew my bank would digitize before my eyes
So to no surprise, this is the come up
This is the, This is the, This is the come up
Was never really sensitive till elegance ripped it apart
My heart in pieces
Said well, oh well
This well is still filled
Till I found out bout the trees that would help me see my eyes bleed
Blew them every day for days till sun rays misplaced
At every moment for a year I was fearin no potent
Thoughts omnipotent thanks to potion I was scopin
Runnin conventions around me, conspirin sounds just sorrounded
Every workplace still confounded, with mounts of counts all abounded
Astounded everyday ways of this false crownin
They were sayin
Go take a lap, congratulatons
Now you're trapped, on vacation
Never-mind the weather got my shit together
Came up with some clever rhymes
Knew my bank would digitize before my eyes
So to no surprise, this is the come up
This is the, this is the, this is the come up
