Do Better Blues Lyrics by Destini Stacy

Siren

2019

[Chorus: Destini Stacy]
I've been feeling stuck, got to get up, I've got to get up
To make it out, I said, I've been feeling stuck
Got to get up, I've got to get up and do better
[Verse 1: Destini Stacy]
I'm going crazy, twenties approached
And as of lately, it feels like I don't know
Just where I'm headed or what I do it for
Searching for answers, it's got me up at
4AM, trying to find three reasons to push forward
It feels like I never sleep, overslept
Third time I've been late for work
[Chorus: Destini Stacy]
I've been feeling stuck, got to get up, I've got to get up
To make it out, I said, I've been feeling stuck
Got to get up, I've got to get up and do better
[Chorus: Destini Stacy]
Said I've been feeling stuck, got to get up, I've got to get up
To make it out, I said, I've been feeling stuck
Got to get up, I've got to get up and do better
[Post-Chorus: Destini Stacy]
I've got the Do Better Blues
I've got the Do Better Blues
I've got the Do Better Blues
Said I've to get up and do better
I've been avoiding cameras, running from pictures
Smoking blunts, rolling up swishers
I told my momma I'd stop
Get too high, you won't step foot on the top
[Verse 2: Larry Kush]
No Pressure, no books, no school, no lecture
You can see it in her eyes if you met her
If it was you, you would know no better
I knew the life of an entrepre-negro
I made myself when the world said don't
I seen the light and with that made smoke
She seen neglect and it made her choke
Don't die, don't think you're far from life because of where you stand in it
It ain't where you at, it's where you headed
How you never hustle but demand it?
We gone make it move, even if you don't
Imma make the news if I ever go broke
You don't wanna see that I promise
God told a nigga he the one, I prophet
Take it how you wanna but do not take offense
[Outro: Destini Stacy, Larry Kush, Destini Stacy & Larry Kush]
One time for you if you can see how much it means to me
What does it mean to you, take steps inside my shoes
We walk through smoke and mirrors to find our way
You stay the same, we're not the same
You keep an eye on me, I see the world 3D
Don't tell me how to be, can't see what I can see
I said I've to get up and do better
