Jasmine (Wonder Woman) Lyrics by Devanté Parson

Agrabah

2016

[Aladdin]
She's all that I want
She's all that I want
She's all that I want
She's all that I want
She's all that I need
As a baby, suddenly abandoned by her parents
She was gleefully taken in by Uncle SulTan and Aunt Rani
A comfy family, she had cousins, three
And in a sunny locale, outside the city, some ponies and cows
Nobody knows what happened to her mom and dad sadly
Otherwise her family was a real life sanctuary
But everyone was a tad bit obsessed with insurance, inheritances, blue chips
And the omnipresent family business
Though no one said it, it was always expected that Duke, the eldest boy
Would be next to enjoy being CEO at the family helm
But overwhelmed Duke dipped out
To zip line in the tropics, fly fishing routes
And find himself
That left her and her cousins, Marilyn and Murphy
Like Duke, she yearned for independence from an inherited journey
So to start a sign shop, she got funds from the uncle and aunt
Who had their doubts at first, “This seems the wrong route
What about the family business?”
But she persisted
Bought yard stakes, plastic sheets, and a printer
Rented a space, she didn't move at sprinter pace
But quaked hurdles to splinters on her marathon to her breakthrough day
And sure enough, orders got so big that Marilyn and Murphy
Concurred they should join up with her
Business flourished, but she wasn't done
She nurtured a recycled paper company with a roster of
The largest book publishers
When she discerned that she'd climbed enough
She declared it was time to sell her shares, break free
And see what lie beyond the horizon line
Mesmerized, to my complete surprise, she's real
She's Wonder Woman
My eyes must lie, you gotta tell me guys, she's real
She's Wonder Woman
She has more time for relishing nature trails neighboring her home
Tomes, tea, and her batting orange tabby cat
Rajah, probably
Her most fancied treats besides travel and gatherings of family
Some summer and spring nights, rain, home and feeling frisky
Unseen she's cloaked in her plain text "Obey" t-shirt, she got way back
Black and whole rainbows of lace ankle socks
Not that she hasn't gotten normal ones and fuzzies
But she wears those more in winter and autumn
Oh, and when she hits the town
Nuking daisy dukes
Whether dress or gown, jeans or skirt
Plus between she and the ground
The meanest wedges and heels that eagerly lap up
And wrap her feet bottoms, toes, and talocrural
But that's just the surface, mentioned on purpose
Since it's so easy to be slain by the beauty
One may downplay her deeper merits
Blazing a path for youths
In science and math
Through a fundraising program
That gathers every other Saturday
Actually, she loves philanthropy
An impressive empress in practically every way
O-o-oh, my gosh, overpowering, she's a total gummy bear, honey bun, truffle muffin
As beautiful as jasmine, no, a sunflower
Mesmerized, to my complete surprise, she's real
She's Wonder Woman
My eyes must lie, you gotta tell me guys, she's real
She's Wonder Woman
[Sample]
Holy cow!
[Samples]
Look at her...with her perfect teeth, and her shiny skin, and her Pocahontas hair thinking she's better than us!
You think you're better than me?!
Well, we can't all be mathematically perfect
[Aladdin]
No, she knows that everyone's equal. You're just assuming she's that way because she looks…! I-I mean she is...
Could anyone be more perfect?
[Samples]
I don't think so!
You don't mind do you, darling?
[Sample]
Ideal proportion
[Sample]
Oh, you're sweet
[Italian sample]
[Samples]
As you wish
I will love you my whole life, you and no other
Eight letters, three syllables
Say them and I'm yours
[Aladdin]
She, she's gone! How long have I been standing here?
She's real!
[Japanese samples]
[Aladdin]
I'll cover the globe! Twice if I have to! I'm sure we'll cross paths!
I'm outta here...
…but what am I going to say to her when I meet her?
