Scourge of the Present Lyrics by Devcord

Godisnowhere

2021

Closed, the doors seem to be closed
To an unsullied path
And existence is sinking
Into the sea of the void
No one has a key for the truth
Remedy is phantasm
Will sincerity ever be rewarded again?
People march in one direction
As if in trance
Envy and resentment poison the common sense
Past values rot in the dust bin of modernity
And our descendants inherit depraved fields
Thе awe of impermanencе
Hangs like a shadow
The past is the teacher
Of legal integrity
Nowadays our new order is
Slowly breaking down
Children are playing
In dirt of frivolity
A weak heart
Won't survive
A strong mind
Is not enough
When did eternity
Start to feel so long?
Time lost its quality
Acceleration rules – now
Rest and peace have died
For growth and for abuse
A weak heart
Won't survive
A strong mind
Is not enough
Movement without rest and
Craving without signification
Time flies and exhaustion
Is the only reward
The outcry for deceleration
Disappears in nothing
Being caught is accepted
For supposed happiness
The seducer is calling again
And the sheep are dancing to his tune
And the puppeteer knows very well
How to handle his dolls
The show never ends
The seducer is calling again
And the sheep are dancing to his tune
And the puppeteer knows very well
How to handle his dolls
The show never ends
