Trance (Flowing Backwards) Lyrics by Dhanjae

Black October

2021

Back in the days
They never used to come
Now when you see them ,dem Dey run konko below
Real one,I ain’t ever lied
Please don’t kill my vibe
Don’t you take me low low
Oh no
After all I no killy person
After all I no killy person
(Dhanjae,Amaa,May Owoyele)
After all Na me killy person
After all Na me killy person
After all na me killy person
After all na me killy person
After all Na me killy person
After all Na me killy person
Just breathe your name upon me,breathe
And I’m gon feel alright
Just breathe your name upon me,breathe
And I’m gon feel alright
(hoodlum’s grief)
...
(May Owoyele)
Gone right there with the gun powder
I focus the sound of gongs, they appear now to be louder
Then we used to run it back then when that macaroni used to be like 50 quid, now I can't have that minimie
I think of the mini me, like a lot like a whole lot
Having the hopes of living dreams
We could have started PBC
That was posed to be a label, now I'm labelled as an Abel
Getting killed for 50 quid
I could have filled the city streets
Could have had my name on doors
Its ironic I'm passed over, getting parcelled up by thugs
My brothers, sisters and moms
My father coulda gone farther
Imagine where I'd have come
Me and my city are one
Together we flowing backwards
We shoulda grown money trees but then we busy growing cactus
Way too many factors
Way too many factors
I said I be watching all night all day
I be watching all night all day
(Amaa)
(The sound of heartbreak)
...
