Looking Forward Lyrics by Dinner And A Suit

Since Our Departure

2011

Always looking forward
And never where you are
'Cause progress is like a drug that has got you this far
So you focus on the future, as if you know what it holds
Don't look back now, you might see
It's not as bad as you believe
Running, we're running
Picking up the pace
Don't know what we're chasing
Running, we're running
Picking up the pace
‘Cause life is just a race
Now you're looking forwards
To make this seem like it matters
More than the last one
But it starts to feel the same
So you focus on your failures
As if they've become your name
I know it is hard to beliеve
But there's morе to this than you can see
Running, we're running
Picking up the pace
Don't know what we're chasing
Running, we're running
Picking up the pace
‘Cause life is just a race
Wake up
Wake up
It's time to begin before the sun sets again
‘Cause sometimes your heart is sending you to sleep
But this isn't over, it’s just the beginning
Running, we're running
Picking up the pace
‘Cause life is just a race
Running, we're running
Picking up the pace
‘Cause life is just a race
