Better Dayz Lyrics by DJ Mykael V, Phil J., Joe Ayinde

2019

[Intro: DJ Mykael V]
God always!
Mykael V!
Woo
[Chorus: Breana Marin]
Everybody makes mistakes
And we all keep secrets deep down bottled up safe
And we all do different things to look some way
And we just keep carrying on till it dissipate
[Verse 1: Phil J.]
I'm prayin' for better days
Life can be a earthquake and shake yo' faith
Sometimes you feel you can't bear the weight
Of the world so you go and isolate
Yourself, young dudes wanna be better, man
But don't make it past 20 because of melanin
That can make a man feel irrelevant
That's why some try to find deliverance
In things so harmin'
That should be alarmin'
Wonderin' who they can call when
So-called friends drop the ball, never there to catch them when they're fallin'
But I'm here to tell you who God is
Mender of the broken-hearted
Trust in Him, there's no losses
No losses, no
No, no, no, no, no, no, no
[Chorus: Breana Marin]
Everybody makes mistakes
And we all keep secrets deep down bottled up safe
And we all do different things to look some way
And we just keep carrying on till it dissipate
[Break: Joe Ayinde, Breana Marin]
(Till it go) Till it dissipate
And we just keep carrying on till it dissipate
(Aye, yeah, yeah, yeah)
(Aye, yeah, yeah, yeah, whoa)
(Ah, ah, ah, ah)
[Verse 2: Joe Ayinde]
Check, let me holler at you when the beat drop (yeah)
See I've been goin' through a lot of it, Popovich
In the spur of the moment
Instead of reachin' out, I peek hot (oh, yeah)
Tryna act flyer than I am (woo)
Wanna hold my hand and smile when I can
But carryin' large burdens wasn't the design of man
Thinkin' some things are better left unsaid
Got a slew of messages left on read
Preacher tellin' me to keep pressin' (whoa)
Through my depression (whoa)
I don't think he know my struggle, but he keep guessin' (oh, yeah)
Churches ain't bein' vocal 'bout the happenings
That keep on happenin' and make me feel like I'm gon' need weapons (eh)
Kids gettin' shot by the cops
Even shot by they own, we just fightin' for a spot (oh, yeah)
Race runnin', I just hope that I feel
Some better days, see the sun risin' over them hills
Like where my help comes from and, uh, you know it well like
[Chorus: Breana Marin]
Everybody makes mistakes
And we all keep secrets deep down bottled up safe
And we all do different things to look some way
And we just keep carrying on till it dissipate
[Outro: DJ Mykael V, Breana Marin]
Haha, we all prayin' for better days (till it dissipate)
And they on the horizon, they comin' (and we just keep carrying on till it dissipate)
Just keep yo' head up
God always!
Better days are comin'
Talk to me nice
