[Intro] On the road to my dreams (On the road to my dreams) On the road to my dreams Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah Yeah, yeah Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah Yeah, yeah Everybody's got a dream to chase [Verse 1] Tryna tap into my hungry lion Hunting down the kudu So I don't fall off the edge Soul been blue As I still search for gold Walking through the blue and gold Still tryna settle Into the city of gold Nights get cold and Life could hit the fan Your loved ones ain't evеn know But it's a risk I had to take A gamble I had to play Especially sincе every day I'm always thinking 'bout this rap story My hip-hop dream Whilst sitting front row In a lecture at varsity Thinking about the possibility That I never make it Or the likeliness I do That would be so cool Getting my lick back Couldn't just sit back And take a break This ain't no Kit Kat This is my rematch I've made my notes I've studied the game Remembered all the quotes From the last time that we spoke But I'm a better man right now I've got more hope And I'm on my toes Let's go [Chorus] Tryna get far on this road to my dreams Hunger gets deep You reap what you sow Sow what you reap Bags under my eyes I'm not built to get sleep As I chase these dreams Tryna get far on this road to my dreams Hunger gets deep You reap what you sow Sow what you reap Bags under my eyes I'm not built to get sleep As I chase these dreams [Bridge] Ima put us all on the map Gone and I ain't looking back Ain't nobody gon tell me What I can't be no more Thinking I'ma fall Don't be so sure Ima put us all on the map Gone and I ain't looking back Ain't nobody gon tell me what I can't be no more Thinking I'ma fall, don't be so sure (Yeah, yeah) [Pre Chorus] Dreams Dreams Dreams Dreams Dreams Dreams Dreams Dreams Dreams Dreams Dreams Dreams Dreams [Chorus] Tryna get far on this road to my dreams Hunger gets deep You reap what you sow Sow what you reap Bags under my eyes I'm not built to get sleep As I chase these dreams [Verse 2] Thinking back to when I looked forward to university Looking forward to sports clubs and dorms But as I sit right now My heart bleeds The same way a foot does When it's stabbed with a thorn I really thought It'd bring some peace to me I really thought The distance from home Would set me free I really thought the more time away from family Would be good for my energy and let me be me Who was I kidding The fact remains I'm drowning in the pressure That comes with being an example to my siblings And my baby cousins I just wanted to be a rapper But the restrictions, hate, insults And obstacles presented to me Every time I speak about my dreams And what I love to who I love Make me wish I was 6 feet in a casket And that day is coming soon But until then I've only got my dreams My passion, my team, and My old-school baggy jeans Dreams [Chorus] Tryna get far on this road to my dreams Hunger gets deep You reap what you sow Sow what you reap Bags under my eyes I'm not built to get sleep As I chase these dreams Tryna get far on this road to my dreams Hunger gets deep You reap what you sow Sow what you reap Bags under my eyes I'm not built to get sleep As I chase these dreams [Outro] Am I ever gonna quit Hell nah Will I dim it down a bit Hell nah Am I ever gonna quit Hell nah Will I dim it down a bit Hell nah Am I ever gonna quit Hell nah Will I dim it down a bit Hell nah As I chase these dreams (As I Chase 'em)
