[Intro: Donald Lawrence & Hezekiah Walker]
Yo, Hez, I'm glad the Hand of the Lord is around me
Donald, if it wasn't for the Lord's covering grace, I wouldn't be alive
This is just a simple song
[Verse 1: Donald Lawrence & Hezekiah Walker]
I could've lost my mind
Wanted to give up so many times
But God was my anchor, a consistent way maker
Hez, I'm grateful God covered me
Go on and sing the song, Pastor
Well, the enemy came against me (You called me about it)
Attacked my body and my ministry (Yeah)
But what God ordains, He will maintain (Yes, sir)
Yes, I'm grateful He covered me
Come on, everybody, let's sing the song
[Chorus: Donald Lawrence & Hezekiah Walker]
You covered me (Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah)
Your hands of protection all around me (All around me)
If not for Your grace and Your mercy
Thank, You, Lord (Thank You, Jesus, You covered me)
You covered me (Oh, can I sing the verse again?)
[Verse 1: Donald Lawrence & Hezekiah Walker]
I could've lost my mind
Wanted to give up so many times
But God was my anchor, a consistent way maker
Hez, I'm grateful God covered me
Go on, feel the song the way you wanna feel
Well, the enemy came against me (You called me about it)
Attacked my body and my ministry
But what God ordains, He will maintain (That's right)
Yes, I'm grateful He covered me
Oh, everybody, come on and sing
[Chorus: Donald Lawrence & Hezekiah Walker]
You covered me (Your hands of protection)
Your hand of protection all around me (Ayy, if it wasn't for your grace)
If not for Your grace (And Your mercy)
And Your mercy
Thank, You, Lord (Thank You, Jesus)
You covered me (You did)
[Bridge: Donald Lawrence & Hezekiah Walker]
I've failed so many times (I've failed so many times, thank You, Jesus)
But Your love divine (But Your love is so divine)
You touched this soul of mine (You touched this soul of mine)
And restored me (Restored, restored me, You covered yes, you did)
[Chorus: Donald Lawrence & Hezekiah Walker]
You covered me (Your hand of protection)
Hand of protection all around me (If it wasn't for your grace)
If not for Your grace (God, and Your mercy)
And Your mercy
Thank, You, Lord (Thank You, Jesus)
You covered me
[Verse 2: Donald Lawrence & Hezekiah Walker]
Oh, God, we thank You for Your covering grace (Hey!)
We thank You for Your covering mercy (Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)
We thank You for Your hand of protection all around us
We know that when the enemy comes in like a flood (He covered)
You'll lift up a standard
No weapon formed against us shall ever, ever prosper
Come on, Pastor, let's do this together
You covered me
Hands of protection around me
Your grace and mercy covered me
I could've lost my mind
Wanted to quit many times
But, God, what you ordain
I'm a witness you will maintain
[Vamp: Donald Lawrence & Hezekiah Walker]
You covered me (Uh, You covered me)
Hand of protection around me (You put Your arms around me)
Your grace and mercy covered me (That's right, Pastor, say it, say it, uh, hey, it covered me)
You covered me (You covered me)
Hand of protection around me (Yeah, You put Your arms around me)
Your grace and mercy (That's right, Pastor, that's right, covered)
Covered me (Ayy, I could have been dead, could have been dead)
You covered me (Sleeping in my grave, yeah, that as well)
Hands of protection around me (But the Lord made)
Your grace and mercy (Made all my enemies)
Covered me (He made them behave)
You covered me (I'm so glad about it)
Hand of protection around me (I was sittin' down the other day, say again)
Your grace and mercy (Thinkin' how far God brought me)
Covered me (When I look back over my life, yeah)
You covered me (I dance about it, dance about it)
Hand of protection around me (I shout about it, I shout about it)
Your grace and mercy (It was His grace)
Covered me (Covered me, covered me)
You covered me (You covered me, oh yeah, yeah)
Hand of protection around me (I'm healed in my mind, uh)
Your grace and mercy (I'm healed in my soul)
Covered me (I'm healed in my spirit)
[Outro: Donald Lawrence & Hezekiah Walker]
Ooh, ayy (You covered me)
Covered me, mm, nothing but grace
Your grace, oh, oh
And your mercy, nothing but mercy (You covered me)
Your grace, it covered me
Your mercy, ayy, yeah, yeah, yeah
Your grace, oh, yeah, yeah, yeah
Your mercy, it covered me (You covered me)
