Now it all went down on the other side of town, lookin' 'round, when I found a seedy spot to dine
I was feeling restless and in need of breakfast, something over easy, maybe fried
So I pulled up a stool next to some old fool, crazy look in his eye like he was wise with age
With a wicked glare he said, "you best beware, eggs 'round here might just ride away"
And I said eggs don't ride bikes!
I told him "thanks for your time but I think I'll be fine" and I called to thе kitchen to place my order
But sеconds later, a scream from my waiter, there was panic past the pantry border
Came back out in great dismay and I will not forget that day
I knew what he was gonna say:
"The eggs are gone, they've biked away"
And I said eggs don't ride bikes!
I burst through the door of the kitchen for to qualify this strange occurrence
The trail of yolk led back to the empty bike rack, I did not need more assurance (who does your egg insurance?)
And stood my waiter by the refrigerator, hanging over from the egg's emancipation
To this day I regret I didn't heed the threat of culinary transportation
I was wrong that eggs don't ride bikes!
My waiter and I, we caught each other's eyes, and in our hearts we surely knew
Those suckers should not be allowed to roam the Earth free and I know just what we have to do
So I could have my toast and jam, but now my breakfast torn the lamb
I vowed I would not rest again until those eggs are back in that goddamn pan
Eggs won't ride bikes!
