Livin’ for the Weekend Lyrics by Drew Fish Band

Treat You Right

0

[Verse 1]
There's a good time waiting for me at the end of this week
Working like a dog, aww I'm beggin' for a treat
Got a good looking woman fired up for a Friday night out on the town
Ditch the nail and hammer, bust outta this slammer, and get out of here right now
[Chorus]
I'll be livin' for the weekend with some rowdy friends of mine
And I'll be heading on down to Austin for the girl that I call mine
I'm gonna numb the pain until Monday with a cold one in my hand
It ain't coping, it’s just livin' for the weekend
[Verse 2]
Clockin' in at 9, another week begins
Counting down the days, adding up my pay, man I'm spent
Thinkin' I’ll just slip out of here, steer clear the rush at 5
'Cause the boss man's draggin' me down and I've just about lost my mind
[Chorus]
I'll be livin' for the weekend with some rowdy friends of mine
And I'll be heading on down to Austin for the girl that I call mine
I'm gonna numb the pain until Monday with a cold one in my hand
It ain't coping, it’s just livin' for the weekend
[Bridge]
Three more days, can I be saved? What's a boy to do?
Thinkin' 'bout my baby, I'll be coming home to you
[Chorus]
Livin' for the weekend with some rowdy friends of mine
I'll be heading on down to Austin for the girl that I call mine
Gonna numb the pain until Monday with a cold one in my hand
It ain't coping, it’s just livin' for the weekend
