Bike Lyrics by Driftless Pony Club

Expert

2009

On the first day you moved away
You built a bonfire out of all that we made
To teach me how to sleep alone
On the second week you came to stay
I tried to suck it up, didn't know what to say
Sometimes it’s better that way
We speak with clubs and axes
Communicate through the mattress
Dressed like, like we’re Adam and Eve
We dream on public access
Vis a vis, texts, and graphics
With a bar stool, makes sense to me
If you’re ever watching TV
Would you watch the same as me?
It’s no secret that I’m selfish
But we can never let them have this
If you're gonna ride your bike
Pick me up when you come by
It doesn't matter where we’re going
Just as long as we’re unknown
[Instrumental break]
If you’re ever watching TV
Is what you watch the same as me?
It’s no secret that I’m selfish
But we can never let them have this
If you're gonna ride your bike
Pick me up when you come by
It doesn't matter where we’re going
Just as long as we’re unknown
In our last interaction
I lost a rib because I’m out of practice
This time you think you’re better than me
We speak with clubs and axes
Communicate through the mattress
Dressed like, like we’re Adam and Eve
