Look At Where I’m At Lyrics by DubXX

Old Lights New Lights

2014

Look at where I'm at
Yeah
Look at where I'm at
And this is some real shit
I coulda been anywhere but I'm right here
It's been a long way
[Hook]
Look at where I'm at, look at where I'm at
From poverty to riches on you bitches
Look at where I'm at, look at where I'm at
All we do is dream of gettin richer
Look where I was at, look where I was at
I really came from nothing man
Look at where I'm at, look at where I'm at
[Verse 1]
No AC in the summertime
No heat in the winter time
Gas off, microwave, ding ding
Dinner time
Three kids, one bed
Four and another, seven
Christmas donations, we were poor than a mutha
Hand washing clothes for school in the morning
Bummy fresh nigga in my best friends Jordans
We never had a car, we always had to bus it
So I travel with that ratchet, man I almost had to bust it
Food stamp victim, used to run with the booklets
Spend it all on junk food and come home to a whoopin
Thanksgiving leftovers, call it all you can eat
Government snack fed old milk and cheese
Landlord used to threaten to put us out on the street
But I guess that was a promise cause we was out in a week, like
Where the fuck imma sleep
I guess it's back to my momma house, back to my momma house
[Hook]
Look at where I'm at, look at where I'm at
From poverty to riches on you bitches
Look at where I'm at, look at where I'm at
All we do is dream of getting richer
Look where I was at, look where I was it
I really started really started from the bottom now
Look at where I'm at, look at where I'm at
All we do is dream of getting richer
[Verse 2]
I say I'm blessed and that's for many things
Thank god on the daily cause I coulda been that baby aborted and never got a chance to ever dream
Yeah and that's a scary thing
Yeah
To my mother, sisters and brothers
I just wanna take this time out to say I love you
Yeah and it's never nothin above you
I'm working on gettin richer to get you outta the gutter
So many years we done struggled
We wiped our tears with the bills like I ain't paying them nothin
Get to thinkin what could be worse
Body bag with me inside toe tag for the hearse
Or locked up with some real ass killers
Cut throat niggas and real, live drug dealers
Naw instead I'm still on the map
Kept it 10 toes down
Now look at where I'm at
[Hook]
Look at where I'm at, look at where I'm at
From poverty to riches on you bitches
Look at where I'm at, look at where I'm at
All we do is dream of gettin richer
Look where I was at, look where I was at
I really started from the bottom now
Look at where I'm at, look at where I'm at
All we do is dream of gettin richer
