The Prince of Metal Lyrics by Durbin

The Beast Awakens

2020

[Verse 1]
His heart in a roar and his hands together on his face
The heavens had opened, the answer to all of his prayers
In the blink of an eye, the angel had burst into flames
In the echoing madness, they grabbed him and dragged him away
[Chorus]
The twisting of steel and the slice of a blade
The fall of the kings of the land will long be remembered
"From the ashes, another will rise," the prophecy says
Raise thy horns, bang thy heads, the prince of metal
[Verse 2]
He followed their rule and they fought wherever they could gain
In the heart of the battle, remembering whence he had came
Galloping hard for the night, he raced for the day
Escaping the grasp of the ghosts of the past and their ways
[Chorus]
The twisting of steel and the slice of a blade
The fall of the kings of the land will long be remembered
"From the ashes, another will rise," the prophecy says
Raise thy horns, bang thy heads, the prince of metal
[Bridge]
The mourning falls in the crowd
And the roses painted the ground
As he rests his hand on the throne of ones who paved it
For one day, that crown he will hold
In the memories and the stories of old
Screaming in the faces of the ones who will try and take it
[Chorus]
The twisting of steel and the slice of a blade
The fall of the kings of the land will long be remembered
"From the ashes, another will rise," the prophecy says
Raise thy horns, bang thy heads, the prince of metal
The twisting of steel and the slice of a blade
The fall of the kings of the land will long be remembered
"From the ashes, another will rise," the prophecy says
Raise thy horns, bang thy heads, the prince of metal
Raise thy horns, bang thy heads, the prince of metal
