Exception Lyrics by Dwoyo

Lowyalty

2018

[Intro: Dwoyo]
It was really hard for me...it was my fault but
You could go first
[Verse 1: Dwoyo]
How the hell did I ever believe your ass
I should've listened to my mind when it told me that I should leave his ass
And I don't know where you'll be at now
Or in a year or two from here, yet
Just know I've got a couple years left
And I doubt that you'll ever be close to me
So lose me
I don't even know why you had to choose me
Just so you could use me
Abuse me
I don't wanna believe it so tell me I'm lying
Were you ever even trying
All the time I was denying
Even when you said you liked me
Then once I started trying
That's when you stopped replying
What happened next left me crying
And you weren't there to dry them
But this shouldn't be surprising
[Chorus: Dwoyo]
This always happens to me
But I thought you were the exception
This always happens to me
But I thought you were the exception
[Verse 2: Dwoyo]
No excuses, just me hear me out (just me hear me out)
Sincerely now (Sincerely now)
Let me clear the doubts
All my actions were for your satisfaction and what I had for you was nothing short of attraction
I don't know about tomorrow
But I do know that our time on earth is borrowed and that's tough for me to swallow but
I've been continuing to fight commitment (fight commitment)
You spoke your heart out and I barely listened (I barely listened)
This is Lowyalty
The story of wishing that you meant more to me (this is Lowyalty)
This is Lowyalty
Emphasis on the low (low)
Would it be better if you knew? I guess you'll never know
Told you I wasn't perfect
I don't regret the times we had, I just regret the purpose
How could something so valuable just become so worthless
So now I'm doing something I should really do
Cause you deserved better
And you still do
[Outro: Dwoyo]
And I thought you were the exception
You mean so much to me
And I thought you were the exception
