Repeating Lyrics by Dylan Reed

Growing

2018

I know this shit just sounds conceded
But she’s the girl I never needed
And when I think I’m not completed
I like to just keep on repeating

I know this shit just sounds conceded
But she’s the girl I never needed
And when I think I’m not completed
I like to just keep on repeating

I knew somebody for about a year and that’s a lot
We thought we’d spend our life together but maybe not
We really got to know each other and then we fought
All night and our love depleted
I caught her cheating and I felt defeated
At the same time I will not repeat it
All my friends were telling me I gotta end it so I guess that it’s the popular opinion so I did it

A couple years before I knew a girl
Grades 6 through 8 she controlled my world
Every time I saw her in the hall it made me hurl
And I was conscious of the signs that she liked me too
But when I offered I felt like a fool
Cause she rejected and it wasn’t cool
And so I took it as a lesson that no matter what you’re thinking life is not a fucking movie and there is no happy ending

I implore you to ignore me, just like maury, there is no moral to the story, like morning glory
I am unfortunately haunted, with the thoughts of, all the pain and all the sorrow, that I’ve borrowed
Between the people that I brought up, it’s a problem, but here’s a pleasant thing I thought of, when I lost her

I felt free I started screaming, I started to believe in
Happiness and all the shit that it encompasses
I started reminiscing on the past and I was smitten with a bunch of different girls that I was loving but nobody ever wanted me back
I relapsed, cause I lacked the self awareness that the girl was really bad for me
And so I cried stop the balcony, tears of happiness eventually
I only recently accepted that my life is what it is and at the day
I’m not a little fucking kid
Not a little fucking kid

I know this shit just sounds conceded
But she’s the girl I never needed
And when I think I’m not completed
I like to just keep on repeating

I know this shit just sounds conceded
But she’s the girl I never needed
And when I think I’m not completed
I like to just keep on repeating

I know this shit just sounds conceded
But she’s the girl I never needed
And when I think I’m not completed
I like to just keep on repeating

I know this shit just sounds conceded
But she’s the girl I never needed
