passion project Lyrics by dysen

cyberdelic

2019

[Verse 1]
I just wanna sing and
Do some graphic design, but I’ve got
Assignments and essays
That take up so much time
I just keep procrastinating
And they never get done
So now I'm stressed out all the time
And I never have fun, no
Shout-out to Ms. Sacino
For the passion project
Thanks for this opportunity
That I’ll never forget
And thanks to my mom and dad
For always being proud me
Even when I sounded bad
Or if I was out of key
[Pre-Chorus]
But it’s such a joke to me
The way my classes be
All I can do is clench my fist
I’m always forced to do
Stuff that I don’t want to
Why is school like this
[Chorus]
I’m not doing projects
And I’m not studying
Cuz that’s honestly
Just way too boring
Some people try in school
Heh, imagine
I don’t know 'bout them
But that’s not my passion
[Verse 2]
I’m not a SoundCloud rapper
I’m a singer get it right
Still balling every day
And every night
Everyone’s drinking
I just want Sprite
Or maybe some beet juice
From my man Dwight
I’m not smoking I’m not vaping
I’m a good kid, I’m not cussin’
Math teacher’s talking
I don’t listen to the lesson
School’s almost over
Thank god its a blessin’
(wooh, yeah)
(thank god it's a blessin’)
[pre-Chorus]
It’s such a joke to me
The way my classes be
All I can do is clench my fist
I’m always forced to do
Stuff that I don’t want to
Why is school like this
[Chorus]
I’m not doing projects
And I’m not studying
'Cause that’s honestly
Just way too boring
Some people try in school
Heh, imagine
I don’t know 'bout them
But that’s not my passion
Thank god for passion projects
So I can express myself
And be creative
In a way that I can excel
The school system sucks
It’s pretty embarrassing
And i don’t know 'bout you
But that’s not my passion
