Ahead of Myself Lyrics by Educated Consumers

Winning Winter

0

[Hook 1: SeezMics]
Don’t let me get ahead of myself
I’m just steady and stealth, never petty, spreading the wealth
But we’re all broke
I’ll smoke to that until the pennies have melt
Ready to shell and many have fell
A victim to the abundance of dumb shit
Overwhelmed by the pick and choose among different crews
While every time you’ve listened to
Educated Consumers in digital or physical, we’ve been the truth
[Verse 1: SeezMics]
Bitch, I liked your album for the interludes
And don’t need to hear you rap just because you’ve kissed a muse
Get a clue, simply trying to get in the news
This is you? Son is sounding shallow as a kiddie pool
Got confused by the short fuse long form
On forth until everybody is on board
On your mind like an unpaid paid bill
Some take pills to deal with the stress they feel
I take a thought from yesterday, a thought from today
A though from a year ago and figure out what to say
I wouldn’t have it any other way, underway
Winning Winter until Dumber Summer so come and play
Mind games, catch a case of brain damage
Concussion of percussion, dysfunction watching your face vanish
Ace bandage ego, waste management, we know
Take advantage of the manic depressive phase of libidos
It’s all chemicals and foreign oil
In general, our generation is the perfect foil
Work the soil, royal treatment traumatized
Drama gets ratings, inflating self-worth so why apologize?
Falling skies, self-centered universal studio
Thought it was a moderate product of being stupid, yo
There’s nothing if not humor in human growth
So we spent an album evolving into the snow
[Hook 2: SeezMics]
Don’t let me get ahead of myself
I’m just steady and stealth, never petty, spreading the wealth
But we’re all broke
I’ll smoke to that until the pennies have melt
Ready to shell and many have fell
A victim to the abundance of dumb shit
Overwhelmed by the pick and choose among different crews
While every time you’ve listened to
The homey Cubbiebear in digital or physical, he’s been the truth
[Verse 2: Cubbiebear]
I’m a man full of drink on brink with nothing to lose
Rocky movie mixed with proof of not needing excuse
Winning winter or fall, it’s mine: I shine my shoes
And kick nuts like a feminist, PMS and get loose
I spend my time with Educated, steady spraying our moves
Whatever’s written, dismissed: YouTube comments and views
No criticism taken total, to respect or few
Too deep for cocoa butter, raw, dare and understand truth
Cause I’m too fickle, it’s fine, in fact, I frame it on page
Accept the sign so cynical, reading stuck in my ways
Holding mind with ridicule, don’t give a fuck, I still say what I do
You take it literally: bootlegs, if you feel me, ok
So every sense of self I’ve got goes into time
I stress my life to live for music, you take free and inspired
To speak opinions when you haven’t paid
All in all's fine, but if you don’t pay, don’t complain
If you break that, you buy it
Don’t mind my play, I’m not bitter, I’m just nice with debate
I like to test the norm and rhythm til it’s awkward on bass
So when I speak in cynicism know it’s solid in place
A good talker, handsome face, backed by T.E.C.K
I’m not tame enough to play this kiddie pool full of trash
You make a mess and hesitate saying fiction is fact
But every taste shows your fruit for knowledge is made of wax
So eat this up: Winning Winter, nod your head to this track
