First One to Leave the Party Lyrics by Eilish Gilligan

FIRST ONE TO LEAVE THE PARTY (EP)

2021

[Verse 1]
Think of all the places you could be
Stumbling around in sharehouse green
I know everyone and they know me
The year's turning over
[Pre-Chorus 1]
This old thing I put away
Wrote it out for New Year's Day
Not the type to hesitate
Nothing left to celebrate
[Chorus]
I'm feeling so much older because
Last year we stayed up longer
And I wouldn't have changed if you had stayed
Now I'm the first one to leave the party
[Verse 2]
Can't remember how to walk in heels
Wish I could forget how bad this feels
Faking laughter's starting to get real
When is it over
[Pre-Chorus 2]
Comfortable with being late
Didn't count the things I ate
Growing up in every way
But I don't want to celebrate
[Chorus]
I'm feeling so much older because
Last year we stayed up longer
And I wouldn't have changed if you had stayed
Now I'm the first one to leave the party
[Bridge]
No goodbyes, I gotta get away
I'll sleep through the fireworks display
Not trying to be dramatic
Don't want to make a habit
Of holding onto something that is gone
I'm the first one to leave the party
I'm the first one to leave
[Chorus]
I'm feeling so much older because
Last year we stayed up longer
And I wouldn't have changed if you had stayed
Now I'm the first one to leave the party (Yeah I'm the)
The first one to leave the party (Yeah I'm the)
The first one to leave the party (I'm the)
The first one to leave the party
Yeah I'm the first one to leave the party
