Know who you are, what makes you smile, what makes you cry, what makes you lie and most importantly what makes you, YOU
You gotta have a purpose and not a huge burden
Spend your extra time learning and getting to know them
Don't be afraid to make the first move
I promise that will not be considered rude

If you're too afraid to approach them then you may regret it later
The thing is that later may never come so it's up to you
