Be Encouraged Lyrics by Elle Varner

Ellevation

2019

[Verse 1]
I been where you are, so low
Wondered why I'm here, for real, though
Couldn’t find myself, you in there?
I started to fade into the air
But somethin' in my spirit wouldn't let me
I heard a little birdie from above
She told me, "If you need me, you can hold me"
Just when I needed the love, she said
[Chorus]
Every time it rains, every time you fall
Every time you’re all alone and got no one to call
Remember what's inside your heart
We gotta find a little spark
But some of them, especially you
Have them wherever you are
Every time it rains
Oh-oh
[Verse 2]
Sometimes we get so drowned in the doubts
Even the sunshine is chased by gray clouds
Summer never comes, it seems like
Why does every day feel like a night?
I heard that it was all about perspective
It isn't what it is, it's what you make
And whether the glass is full or empty
It's whatever you save, baby
[Chorus]
Every time it rains, every time you fall
Every time you're all alone and got no one to call
Remember what's inside your heart
We gotta find a little spark
But some of them, especially you
Have them wherever you are
Every time it rains
Oh-oh
[Outro]
Said be encouraged, baby
Be encouraged, baby
Be encouraged, be encouraged, be encouraged, baby
Be encouraged, be encouraged, be encouraged, baby
Be encouraged, be encouraged, be encouraged, baby
Oh-oh
