Drank 4 Thought Pt.3 Lyrics by Emmy Jay

N3W SCHL GNGSTR

2019

(Intro)
Yeah, bitch I'm back, aye..new school gangster shit nigga, fuck the rest we not tired, tell em! Yeah, look, aye..
(Verse)
Tryna get my head right, meditating day and night
Acting cool about it doesn't mean that I can't fight
I choose to be strong and wait until the fucking pain dies
The struggle isn't something you can recognize in plain sight
Still tryna be the star that shines even in daylight
They probably told you being real doesn't pay right?
They told me you can score a goal if you can get your aim right
I'm tryna score big and I realize it takes time
Lotta people watching now, waiting for my next move
Pressure makes me do the things they tell me that I can't do
Maybe I'm in love with this, even though it's painful
I'm disobeying orders now even though it ain't cool
But it's for the greater good, I do this with the purest motive
Still sad that my parents never been supportive
I never get to speak out, that's why I keep recording
And every song I ever made, I'm the one who wrote it
Yeah I'm tryna make use of every opportunity
Cause if I don't, I know what the game can do to me
I know a lot of OGs who should've made it long ago
And I ain't tryna be one of them, heaven knows I've been grindin' way before the new school era
Tryna write my own story pray I don't make errors
Gotta take my time on every stroke, every letter, pray that somehow he gon' make things better
Yeah I've always had a dream that I'ma make it to the top
But it feel like ain't nobody understand the fucking plot
I've been looking at the clock waiting for my time
It's like chasing my dream is becoming a crime
Well, if that's the case, I'm a fucking criminal forever
Grew a thicker skin yeah khaki no be leather
Now you know the difference, I've been really consistent
Ready to go the distance, I really hope you listening
If you aren't, nigga you don't know what you missing
Picture getting clearer this is HD vision
Gotta stay woke, stay focused on the mission
New wave, this the new school revolution
Picture getting clearer this is HD vision
Gotta stay woke, stay focused on the mission
New wave, this the new school revolution
If this is a competition, I made it past the audition bitch!
(Outro: Nasty C)
I've been hearing most of the stuff that you guys put out and it's so dope but I know it won't ever go anywhere because you're just constantly poking at somebody. Rap about where you're from, rap about what you had to go through to get where you are, rap about the people you love, about stuff that makes you happy, that's what people relate to. And this just goes back to..just, think about it this way, people fuck with these other artists music because they relate to it, who the fuck is gonna relate to a song that you made about another rapper not deserving to be there? not everybody feels the same way about rappers. Make a song about your fucking school shoes if you have to, there's a lot of fucking kids with school shoes that'll relate to that song and that's, that's how you blow up. Make a song about school, make a song about your parents, make a song about your sisters, your friends, shit that people can relate to, that's what music is..all this cat and mouse and, and all that shit needs to stop, you guys are doing this thing wrong and I know this because I used to do it too and then I realized that that's not the way to do it and then I started making more songs about my mother then people started paying attention!
