Cold Northland (Väinämöinen Part III) Lyrics by Ensiferum

Thalassic

2020

[Intro]
Oh, cold Northland
Hear the cry of your children
For the plague corrupts this land
Heed the words of enlightenment
[Verse 1]
Ungrateful deceiver
Corruptive lies-feeder
Born from the abomination
Self-righteous life drainer
I see right through you
The words of poisonous hope
Your greed destroys the world
You can't fool me, I'll fight till I fall!
[Chorus]
I will leave with a heavy heart
The land of snow and the Northern Star
May the song of the old
Lead you until I return back home
[Verse 2]
Sons of the North, hear my call
Rise and fight!
Turning a brother against another
That's their desire
You made the choice
Or was it made for you?
I might be gone (I might be gone)
But I will never abandon you
[Pre-Chorus]
Oh, cold Northland
Can't you see your beauty anymore?
Your lakes and groves
Your forests and shores
From nature, you were born
[Chorus]
I will leave with a heavy heart
The land of snow and the Northern Star
May the song of the old
Lead you until I return back home
May the song of the old
Lead you until I return back home!
[Bridge]
With strength, you have stood
Don't forsake your roots
Don't give up on hope
Soon the plague will be no more
[Chorus]
I will leave with a heavy heart
The land of snow and the Northern Star
May the song of the old
Lead you until I return back home
I will leave with a heavy heart
The land of snow and the Northern Star
May the song of the old
Lead you until he returns back home
