Sand Dunes Lyrics by Epic Beard Men

This Was Supposed To Be Fun

2019

[Intro]
No matter who's first let's start the show
There are no rules, go for what you know
No matter who's first
No matter who's first
No matter who's first
No matter matter matter matter
No matter who', first, let's start
No matter who's first, let's start the show
[Verse 1: B. Dolan]
This ain't no playground, these ain't no gym clothes
This ain’t no foolin’ around
This is Nerf saw turf war, hurry cause it might rain
Rebel child soldiers strikin’ matches off the bike chain
Six million flammable liquids mixed in a gallon jug
Drop a match and run, blast that castle to a cloud of dust
Mama wasn’t proud of us, she say ‘Y’all are some damn fools
Don’tchu know to do that type of dirt down at the sand dunes?’
Disrespectful vandals, prepubescent packrats
One plus two equals a crew, next a few you add fast
Couple more’s a whole clan, posse up and clap back
I stepped to a grown man (Uh huh, we got us a badass)
Nah, I sized him up like toe to toe
Told him old man don’t you know?
Half us little bastards learned to plaster in a broken home
Tree forts gets surrounded by more boundaries than the Pope in Rome
We don’t fear the older kids, we throwin’ stones and hold our own
They tried to pull a pellet gun by the swings in the park
We called they motherfuckin’ bluff, came back with slingshots
And told em ‘kick rocks’ or leave your toys in the attic
Found a body in the woods it was La Toya Jackson
[Chorus]
(Jesus, where’d you get this?)
At the sand dunes, ya know?
Matter matter matter matter
Matter who's first, let's start the show (yeah yeah, you know it)
No matter who's first, let's start the show
No matter who's first
No matter who's first (at the sand dunes)
No matter who's first
No matter matter matter matter
Matter who's first, let's start the show (yeah yeah, you know it!)
There are no rules, go for what you know
[Verse 2: Sage Francis]
Come to the sand dunes fool, get your cocoon on
These geniuses are intravenously hooked up to Boone's Farm (you might lose an arm)
You don’t wanna mess with generation bottom shelf
We hard as hell
I got a stick with a nail in it to rock your belt (yeah, I’m off my rocker)
And now we’re back in acid washed jean jackets
They fit like a fingerless glove, love, and got mean patches
The latchkey kids developed a complex syndrome
So we take it to outside when it’s all stress in home
And no, we do not make house calls unless we on our Jerky Boys
Pre-caller ID steez, stealing foul balls
Collecting can tabs to make a necklace so I can cash it in
For passionate ten seconds with a young lass who’s hip to the fashion
Slick with stash of pornographic images hidden in
Hollowed out tree trunks scattered all around the cabin
(In the backwoods) with the windows smashed in 'cause it’s been abandoned
Now ‘all your base belong to us’ black mold and rust
If I’m not the last man standing, if I’m not the king of the hill
Might switch the game with little shame and put this stick in your grill
And if you snitch I might pitch these foul balls to your sis
It’s all fair in puppy love and rock wars where the fuck we live
[Chorus]
No matter who's first, let's start the show
At the sand dunes, ya know?
No matter who's first
No matter who's first
No matter matter matter matter matter (yeah yeah, you know it!) who’s first, let's start the show
There are no rules, go for what you know
Go for what you know (at the sand dunes, ya know?)
No matter matter matter matter who’s first
Let’s start the show
There are no rules (yeah yeah, you know it) go for what you know
