Dawn of Redemption Lyrics by Eternity Opens

Empire of Sin

2018

Pandora: The sun rises over jagged hills
Orange light creeps into the sky
Long shadows of the spires
Ravaged lands, already so barren
Our burning star
Casts fire above
Destruction or a bright future
Take your pick

This is not my battle
I lived in ignorance
Oblivious, oblivious to all
Atop these unforgiving spires
Typhon stands his ground
A challenger approaches, grows closer

Typhon: I fight for the people of this hellscape
I know I can never return to power, nor do I want to
But I must dislodge your new injustice
I can’t turn back now, so I will fight

The Hunter: I descend from burning skies
Inhumanly invincible
At last you’ve learned that you can’t hide
Miserable old man, easy defeat
I am the scourge of a whole planet
So now I will wipe you from existence

Typhon: Adept in my day I was
I pull from my sheathe one measly sword
No good will this do
Outmatched, out of practice, I stand no chance, do I?

The Hunter: I won’t let this pleasure end so soon
And so I discard my guns and draw my blade

Typhon: Off comes his mask and he is just another man
Glory and strength of battle empower me
I initiate the strike and the dance begins
Clashing blades atop precarious spires

The Hunter: This fresh new confidence will be the death of you
All I must do is wear out your weak tired body
And you will crumble just like your reign
Every lunge you make I force you back with ease

Typhon: Here I am, holding up better than I thought
The Hunter goes not full force on me
I know better than to match his overconfidence
This righteous rage, for once I deserve its aid

The Hunter: A slow circle around each other
Like knife fighters waiting for an opening

Typhon: If you are the scourge of a whole planet
Step up your fight, give me my money’s worth

Pandora: The crowd of survivors has gathered here
At the base of the forest of spires
Disguises removed, both Hunter and Typhon
Identity revealed, they finally see
‘The Dark Lord Typhon, he is the reason
That our neighbors were slaughtered’

The Hunter: No longer will I hold back
Those weak villagers must be reminded
Of my true power, my true fury
Typhon thinks he stands a chance, I prove him wrong

Typhon: The onslaught redoubles and sparks fly
The sky above is bleeding, is this how I die?

Pandora: (Repeated) He fights, he fights The Hunter for us
He fights, he fights The Hunter for you

Typhon: Below us, a roar of the earth shaking, the spire collapsing
A look of shared disbelief between two enemies
As we crash and fall towards the ground
All along, that the only way was down
