Table Talk (Closing Prayer) Lyrics by Ethan C. Davis

Serenade

2017

Table talk, to dine with You
To let You comfort me and love me through and through
Water walks, my mind renewed
To let You hold me and expose how I'm like You
I don't wanna just know about You
If I don't know You as the Father You are for me
I don't wanna control You, I just wanna behold You
And I don't wanna just know about You
If I don't know You as the Savior You are for me
I don't wanna control You, I just wanna behold You
I don't wanna just know about You
If I don't know You as the Spirit You are for me
I don't wanna control You, I just wanna behold You
And I can't do this if You don't do this
I'm stuck with nothin' on my own
I'm not afraid to admit I need You
I need You
Like water in the hot damn desert
I need You
Like sunshine in cloudy weather
I need You, oh
I need You more
I need You more now than I've ever needed You before
I really mean it when I say I need You now, God
I fully surrender and I'm laying it all down
I'm done tryin' to do stuff on my own
I just want table talk with You
I just wanna sit at the table with You
I just wanna walk on the water with You
I just wanna walk on the wild side with You
I wanna pour out my life for You
Living for myself is a waste of time
And I'm sick of wasting time on me
There's more to life than me
There's more to life
There's people who don't have anything to eat
There's people who haven't been hugged in years
There's people who haven't been touched in years
There's people who won't be loved if we don't go love them
This isn't just a song or an idea
The Spirit of God is moving right now, oh
I ask now that people would hear this
There'd be a stirring in their hearts to love other people
Help me to lay down my life
Help others to hear this and lay down their lives
We matter
We matter because You say we matter
Thank You
Amen
