And every line represents my emotions intertwined

The wounds from my travels turned to scabs I would scrabble
Picked on, never tattled, dripped blood left me rattled
My armour shattered from past blows I was bruised and battered

I don’t mean paintings, I mean pain tings
I brushed it off with every note I would sing
Verses turned to songs I wrote all my wrongs
I began to understand it was always in my hands lines changed my palms
I remained calm, meditated to the vision of my voice of reason
Gave meaning to keep on living even though odds were against me breathing
I close my eyes and find freedom
Focus on the locus where I’m most believing in myself
Balance the depth of death and light of living
Roses I smelt bombs were killing
