That Was Then Lyrics by Faith Child

That Was Then

2018

Verse 1
Back with a bang this year
Back doing laps on the track fifth gear
Born and raise in the CR7
Man a Christian like CR7
And what do you know about Thornton Heath
And Bus Station was known for the beef
And the mandem holding the heat
Was the only time they were holding degrees
That’s overly peak
Now we’ve got graduates
And managers managing managers
They cannot damage us, no longer amateurs
Breaking down barriers, now we are manning up
Standing Up
We used to be off track now we’re getting on course
When you finally catchup do not forget your source
Pre-chorus
Everything, everything old He’s making new
And when they see you they’ll be like is that you?
Yeah that’s me, everything fresh now
Everything clean
I’m blessed up from the footwear to the headtop
Messed up, now we’re on path with a next bop
Chorus
I ain’t even tryna find a reason I’m just saying
That was then, but I’m back again on my way in
I’m doing better than I ever did
I got the blessings from the heaven sent
It’s time to get it popping
I ain’t ever stopping
Verse 2
Gimme the beat let me ride it
Gimme the street let me light it
Gimme your feet let me align it
I’mma show the youngsters on the wrong path
What life is
They wanna be masculine
So they jump on the fashion ting
Designer brands don’t make you a man
It just makes you a walking mannequin
There’s more to life than Gucci belts
There’s more life than bouji girls
There’s more to life to this mortal life
Let me multiply your future wealth
Regardless of your past mess you can be better
I know it’s hard to see your Future when you only see era
Pre-chorus
Everything, everything old He’s making new
And when they see you they’ll be like is that you?
Yeah that’s me, everything fresh now
Everything clean
I’m blessed up from the footwear to the headtop
Messed up, now we’re on path with a next bop
Chorus
I ain’t even tryna find a reason I’m just saying
That was then, but I’m back again on my way in
I’m doing better than I ever did
I got the blessings from the heaven sent
It’s time to get it popping
I ain’t ever stopping
