hey, check it out Lyrics by Flowers for You

hey, check it out / do u mean it? - Single

2022

[Intro]
Check it out
Check it out
Hey
[Chorus]
Hey, check it out
When you see me at the top, try not to pout
When I came up, all you ever did was doubt
Now you wonder why I'm never around
Try not to count all the times you let me down
Won’t make a sound, just to make you feel alright
I'll turn my whole world inside out
You play the drama queen, so here's you crown
[Verse]
Ayy, guess I’ll never learn my lesson
Still in your mentions
Bad habits speak of my obsession
Can't take the tension
Running away, everyday feels the same
I miss the summer and I miss your face
I'm here to stay, know that you're not
So you can watch while I climb to the top
It's so sad living a lie, like, all the time
Like, when will I get what I feel is mine?
Working hard every night
I don't have time to be spiteful
Peeking my life through the keyhole
Compare it to yours, looking mental
Sorry, that's so disrespects though
So I'ma run it up, fill my cup
Count the days without you
Still been stuck in my rut
Life is great without you
Count it up, it’s not enough
I go on without you, I go on without you
Still got our tattoo, got the broken heart to match too
Hate it when I miss you, never seemed to be an issue
When I’m doing well, they all hate and I can tell
But they can't stop me minding my business
And sipping my coffee
[Chorus]
Hey, check it out (Check it out)
When you see me at the top, try not to pout (Try not to pout)
When I came up, all you ever did was doubt (Did was doubt)
Now you wonder why I’m never around (Never around)
Try not to count all the times you let me down (Try not to count)
Won't make a sound, just to make you feel alright (Make a sound)
I'll turn my whole world inside out
You play the drama queen, so here's you crown
[Outro]
Check it out
Check it out
Hey
