Creative, blurry-eyed and yawning
After all, that's when all the ideas come
Coz it is the time for the surge of lyrical fun
And I wrote this song on this vibrating vessel
Desperately trying to wrestle the air pressure level
Stumbling about through the aisles
I've been doing this for a little while

Drops her black ballpoint pen
It rolls along the floors, under the seats
And it stops right at my feet
But as I bend down to retrieve this ship of writing
The plane shakes again and send it flying
The time I had now gone from my hands
Slipped through my fingers like hot sands
These moments depleted, baby I'm flyin' away
Can't turn the plane around, can't revisit those days
I'm so far above the cities below
Memories laid out around me for show

That this is a one way trip, once it's done, it's done
