A Simple Message Lyrics by For Felix

Rise Above

2004

I'm sick and tired of everything
Being your way or the highway
And i'm taking the backroads
Taking the long way home
I'm taking my own way home
And i'm sick and tired of yelling
Whys it have to be
That every other word at me
Has to be four letters long and with no point
I'm not asking for im sorry
Just asking you to remove me
Your hitlist is way too long
So don't mistake this message
It shouldn't be to hard for you
The one who never makes mistakes
And your never wrong
You always have to be right
Or maybe that's just me
I guess it all depends
And nothing seems to matter now
Everything will stay the same
Something needs to change
Cause its getting tired
And i won't let you ruin this
Its bigger than you
We all gave up too much
To not see this through
So don't mistake this message
It shouldn't be to hard for you
The one who never makes mistakes
And your never wrong
You always have to be right
Or maybe that's just me
I guess it all depends
Looking down the barrel of a gun
This blindfold isn't tight enough
My eyes still burning from the sun
Cause im looking down the barrel of a gun
(is what its like to talk to you)
Staring down the barrel of a gun
(is what its like to look at you)
So what will it take
Its not the last time
The fires burning
Faster every day
