2012 Lyrics by For Our Hero

Strange Days

2012

[Verse 1]
I'm vintage '88
B-b-bottle these words until they taint
I'm hummin' Nevermore in my head
Mister Raven come tap on my chamber doors again
God bless the butterfly effect now I'm cocooned in my own chest
Mischief never sleep, mayhem wakes these streets
Oh, Yellowstone, forget to peak
[Chorus]
Oh, oh, I seen the end
I don't care, that date's open
Uh, uh, shoot me into the sun
I want to feel warm on my face again
So get loose (Oh) get loosе (Oh)
Two thousand and twelve is coming for you
Get loosе (Oh) get loose (Oh)
Two thousand and twelve is coming for you
[Verse 2]
My happiness is suffering inflation (Eh, eh, eh)
Put your chest in arrest on two counts of insider trading
On all fours call it domino effect
We're all delusioned down on our backs
It's Cluedo-do and always me
In back rooms or behind the keys
[Chorus]
Oh, oh, I seen the end
I don't care, that date's open
Uh, uh, shoot me into the sun
I want to feel warm on my face again
So get loose (Oh) get loose (Oh)
Two thousand and twelve is coming for you
Get loose (Oh) get loose (Oh)
Two thousand and twelve is coming for you
[Bridge]
Let loose the inquisition on my chest now
I'm lost flock
Stuck in the baby teeth of wolves now
I just want to be a little too much to take
But my bones are the only thing that catch breaks
While I’m magnet to about all that makes her
My radar beeps with misinformation
We're suicidal moods verse bedroom door stoppers
With the skeleton key to Davy Jones' locker, locker
When it's time, hell will shout "Come on down"
Welcome two thousand and twelve
[Chorus]
Oh, oh, I seen the end (I seen the end)
I don't care, that date's open
Uh, uh, shoot me into the sun (Into the sun)
I want to feel warm on my face again
So get loose (Oh) get loose (Oh)
Two thousand and twelve is coming for you
Get loose (Oh) get loose (Oh)
Two thousand and twelve is coming for you
