Food Criminal Lyrics by Fred Blankenburg

2014

[Verse 1]
Take a look
In the kitchen
You can't find them
Your chips are no more
No more Fritos
No more Twinkies
Just some crumbs on the floor
Where's my cookies?
Where's my candy?
The cupboard is bare
No more soda
No more Cheetos
Hey, this isn't fair
[Chorus]
No, it isn't okay
It isn't okay
It isn't okay, Daddy
No, it isn't okay
Where the heck are
My peppermint patties?
No, it isn't okay
It isn't okay
It isn't okay, Daddy
You've been stuck by
A food, a food criminal
[Verse 2]
Fingerprints
On the doorknob
To the pantry
The only proof found
Nothing else there
At the crime scene
No footprints on thе ground
But we do know
That whomever
Has committеd the crime
Must be some kind
Of genius
Snack thief mastermind
[Chorus]
No, it isn't okay
It isn't okay
It isn't okay, Daddy
No, it isn't okay
Where the heck are
My peppermint patties?
No, it isn't okay
It isn't okay
It isn't okay, Daddy
You've been stuck by
A food, a food criminal
[Bridge]
Food
Food
Food
Food
Food
[Chorus]
No, it isn't okay
It isn't okay
It isn't okay, Daddy
No, it isn't okay
Where the heck are
My peppermint patties?
No, it isn't okay
It isn't okay
It isn't okay, Daddy
We've been stuck by
A food, a food criminal
A food criminal
A food criminal
[Verse 3]
So next time
Keep your snack food
Better hidden
Under watch, lock, and key
'Cause you never
Really know who
The snack thief might be
Gotta have all
Of those Twinkies
For yourself, this is true
Wouldn't it be
So ironic
If the culprit was you?
[Chorus]
Daddy, is it okay? (Daddy, are you okay?)
Are you okay? (Daddy, are you okay?)
Are you okay, Daddy? (Daddy?)
Daddy, are you okay? (Daddy, are you okay?)
Where the heck are (Daddy, are you okay?)
My peppermint patties (Daddy?)
Daddy, are you okay (Daddy, are you okay?)
Are you okay (Daddy, are you okay?)
Are you okay, Daddy (Okay, Daddy?)
You've been struck by
A food, a food criminal
