First Friend Lyrics by Frøkedal

2015

She said am I the first friend walking on this floor?
When I entered the door my steps were strong
Now it has been raining for so long
She said where did my strength go?
Should have left hours ago
But you spoke of the patterns you adore
The paintings on the wall
You could put me up there now
Tell me am I the first lying on this bed?
With the green and blue and silver spinnin' round me
'Cause this bubble will burst in an ordinary world
I want nothing more than having you beside me
She said why do I grieve for?
Something that I have never known
The new face that you show it came too close
Eyebrows and the nose and mouth
She said you're growing stronger
I am too drained to slip away
I know there's a new day fading in
Ending everything
Leaving only ghosts and doubt
Tell me am I the first one who is lying on this bed?
With the green and blue and silver spinnin' round me
'Cause this bubble will burst in an ordinary world
I want nothing more than having you beside me
Tell me am I the first woman lying on this bed?
With the green and blue and silver spinning round me
'Cause this bubble will burst in an ordinary world
I want nothing more than having you beside me
