Cast My Cares Lyrics by Futures Worship

Love Letters From An Empty Tomb

2022

[Verse 1]
In the garden
You were praying
Father, take this from me
Still, you surrendered
All to Heaven
You were thinking of me
[Verse 2]
In the darkness
Hope was fading
As You hung on that tree
There, You carried
My every trespass
You were thinking of me
[Pre-Chorus]
You feel the pain of every tear
My Comforter, forever near
[Chorus]
So I cast my cares on Jesus
Lord, I place them in Your hands
Yes, I know that I can trust You
I know You understand
[Verse 3]
In the moment
Of my weakness
You're the strength that I need
So I'll surrender
All to Heaven
And exchange it for peace
[Pre-Chorus]
You feel the pain of every tear
My Comforter, forever near
[Chorus]
So I cast my cares on Jesus
Lord, I place them in Your hands
Yes, I know that I can trust You
You will always understand
[Bridge]
I lay my burdens here
At the foot of the cross
Where Your blood paid for us
There's nothing left to fear
Since You covered the cost
Your love is enough
I lay my burdens here
At the foot of the cross
Where Your blood paid for us
Oh, there's nothing left to fear
Since You covered the cost
Your love is enough
And, oh, I lay my burdens here
At the foot of the cross
Where Your blood paid for us
Oh, there's nothing left to fear
Since You covered the cost
Your love is enough
[Chorus]
So I cast my cares on Jesus
Lord, I place them in Your hands
Yes, I know that I can trust You
I know You understand
[Outro]
What a Friend we have in Jesus
All our sins and griefs to bear
What a privilege to carry
Everything to God in prayer
Can we find a friend so faithful
Who will all our sorrows share?
Jesus knows our every weakness
Take it to the Lord in prayer
Right now, I take it to You, Lord, in prayer
Mmm
