Spotlight On My Life Lyrics by Gina Sicilia

Spotlight On My Life

2013

Waking up as the sun is about to set
Is what I prefer
Cause the sun, so mean and bright
Is like a spotlight on my life
It accuses me
Never excuses me
Oh it guilts me, in the cruelest way
That's why I hide from the sun
That's why I hide from the sun
The dark is what I prefer
Cause the dark
So sweet and kind
Ain't no spotlight on my life
It understands me
Never accuses me
Wraps its arms around me
And let's me know
I'm doing ok
That's why I hide from the sun
That's why I hide from the sun
It's too mean and bright
Like a cruel old spotlight on my life
Close the shades
Pull the covers
Don't want the sun to discover
I didn't do
What I was supposed to do
Damage is done
Gotta hide from the sun
Oh waking up as the sun is about to set is what I prefer
Cause the sun so mean and bright is like a spotlight
On my life
Oh it taunts me
Humiliates me
It makes me feel
I'm losing this game
It reprimands me
I just can't stand it
When it screams
I told you so
Oh waking up as the sun is about to set
Is what I prefer
