Love is Never Perfect Lyrics by dKash

2021

[Intro: dKash]
First shot got me smiling
Fifth shot got me wilding
Tenth shot got me drowning
By twenty-three I don't remember anything
[Verse 1: dKash]
Taking back last Sunday
Had too much to drink I wasn't myself
I know it's so cliche to say
But I just hope that you understand
I don't wanna erase you from my life
If I say that wasn't love, then I'd be lying
We both played our part well
Nothing was wrong, we just didn't last
[Pre-Chorus: dKash]
Love is never perfect
[Chorus: Harms, dKash & Harms]
'Cause I can't help myself feeling so bad
Didn't mean to hurt ya
Don't you go around
Spilling my name with your dirty mouth
I never meant to hurt ya
[Post-Chorus: dKash]
Shots after shots like a tommy gun
Spin the fuckin' bottle let's fall in love
If I lose it, who's gonna break my fall
Scared to give 'cause I will lose it all
[Verse 2: dKash]
I'm 29 with anxiety
Alcohol is still my best cure
I pay no mind in clarity
The more you know, the more it hurts
I can't even remember my last cry
If I say that it doesn't hurt, that's a lie
But I just can't seem to get anything right
[Pre-Chorus: dKash]
Love is never perfect
But isn't that what love is
[Chorus: Harms, dKash & Harms]
'Cause I can't help myself feeling so bad
Didn't mean to hurt ya
Don't you go around
Spilling my name with your dirty mouth
I never meant to hurt ya
[Outro: dKash]
Love is never perfect
But isn't that what love is
