Liberty University Anthem Lyrics by Humble Tip

2010

They say college is the most important years of your life.......
You have no idea
Hook:
LU/I can't hear you
LU/Turn it up
F L A M E S
LU/ Hands up and down
LU/ Grab a towel
LU/ spin it around
F L A M E S
Verse 1:
1971 that's when it all begun
A little college down in VA gained attention
154 student, man, how could the manage
Now we're the biggest Christian University on the planet
We don't take it for granted, humble is our rhetoric
Academics are a must, so we are accredited
We got some rules and regulations, it ain't nothing too tough
Understand, discipline builds integrity in us
Yeah we have a curfew, no it will not hurt you
You call it rules, we call it structure, holiness we pursue
We're sending missionaries to China, Japan, and Peru
Jerry Falwell Seniors our founder, we give honor to
Him and his wife made the vision plain
Champions for Christ is what he set to train
Controversy follows us, because of his name
But we're going to set the world fire, and we'll start it with a flame
[Hook]
Verse 2:
I go to Liberty U, where the motto sounds
If we turn away from Christ, burn our school to the ground
We've got teachers leading lectures who are world renown
Ask around and they'll tell you that we run this town
They say we're close minded saints from the south
But if you're too open minded than your brains will fall out
Without a doubt, or mission's more precious than pearls
This is the most exciting University in the world
Over 60 majors, we've got what you need
Over 20 1A athletic teams
So don't be shocked when you see us in the Orange bowl
And don't be shocked when you see us in the Final 4
In your spiritual life, if you're trying to grow
You need to be here, that's what He designed us for
So we're changing the world, one alumnus at a time
And we're changing lives, one diploma at a time
[Hook]
Verse 3:
Where the Spirit of The Lord is, that's my school
No drugs sex or drinking, we define what's cool
A lot of people do not like us, but that's just fuel
That helps the flame burn brighter, we refuse to lose
We follow Christ because He knows best, and this school is so blessed
Only college in the whole country with a Snowflex
Perfect is the aim and you should expect no less
If college is a watch, Liberty's a Rolex
Oh yes, integrity, I hope you like this melody
We've got supporters praying for us, thank you Tim and Beverly
Trust Christ heavily, to put it together
Because if it's Christian, it should be better
This is the most exciting school that you will ever see
So to Liberty U, I introduce you cordially
His Word will forever be our final authority
I hope they're ready; we're the new moral majority
[Hook]
