The Virus of Faith Lyrics by Iconoclast (Band)

HalluciNation

2016

Death will fall upon us all and wash away every divine covenant you’ve ever made
So tighten the noose around the throats of those who lead astray with the virus of faith
Tighten the noose around the throats of those who spread his name as a seed of hate
You’ve crossed the line, you won’t heed this final cry
Dark sermons spill from jaws with tainted tongues
Both hands raised to the sky
Preaching repugnance for the fallen ones
How can you go on pretending this world is yours?
Your god is dead and gone
Implanting fear into the minds of the young
The world will never forget the evil you’ve done
Death will fall upon us all and wash away every divine covenant you’ve ever made
So tighten the noose around the throats of those who lead astray with the virus of faith
No kings of men
No martyrs left
Deluded by faith as ignorance infests
Cancer of the ages
Made a slave of yourself for the words of someone else
The false saviour thrown to the depths
Distort the truth with every word you spit
A poison to societies roots
The true abomination is the one you’ve built your faith upon
Desperate to control our lives
You vile fucking scum
Burn the book of lies
Let it be undone
A vile sickness that has plagued the earth for far too long
We are the children of sin and we come bearing tides of death
To those who blindly follow lies until their last breath
How can you go on pretending this world is yours?
Your god is dead and gone
Implanting fear into the minds of the young
The world will never forget the evil you’ve done
Ruin the plague of faith and reveal it for what it’s really worth
A scapegoat for their insecurities
A perverted icon of their uncertainties
The flaws of man made flesh in the form of a lie
Imprisoning minds and veiling the truth from our eyes
No kings of men
No martyrs left
Deluded by faith as ignorance infests
Cancer of the ages
Made a slave of yourself for the words of someone else
The false saviour thrown to the depths
And when the truth is exposed, when the safety net falls
Who will you follow, where will you stand?
If this is really the world your god had planned
We welcome the flames of the end
No kinds of men
No martyrs left
This sickness shall be put to rest
If this is really the world your god had planned
We welcome the flames of the end
No kinds of men
No martyrs left
This sickness shall be put to rest
