Sixteen years old, she wasn't ready
The world is coming down on her with all her problems
She can't run away like the coward man
She had to stay and try to solve them
For many unprotected teenagers it's the same

At that point she knew she wouldn't let him go
She would be there for him to watch him grow
She would be there for him through thick and thin
Try to raise her son in this life of sin
She had dreams of seeing him succeed

Little did she know he was running short of time
He had to pay the price for his unknown father's crime
Since the day he left them both behind
So momma's boy learned hard lessons to come
Raised in the streets he died under the gun
She lost her only child and all her dreams
Momma's boy died at the age of fifteen
And now she feels she is going insane
