Wenn du heut' Abend, hätt'st du Zeit und Lust
Zum Essen kämst und Bübchen zu betreu'n –
Wir hätten keine bessere gewusst!
So schrieb man mir, der Jungesellin häufig
Ich kam dann auch – auf mich ist ja Verlass!
Obschon als Babysitter gar nichts mir geläufig
Gönnt' ich den lieben Freunden doch den Spaß
Einmal die Philharmoniker zu hören –
So war ich denn mit Bübchen bald allein!
Wie raffiniert jedoch schon kleine Gören
Das ahnte ich wahrhaftig nicht – oh nein!
Erst sollte ich den Trambahnschaffner spielen –
Die Uhr ging unterdessen stark auf neun –
Dann sollte ich noch einmal schrecklich schielen
Und einmal wie ein wilde Löwe schrei'n!
Als ich zum Schluss energisch meinte:
"Es geht nicht mehr – nun aber stracks ins Bett!"
Das hatte nur zur Folge, dass er schrecklich weinte –
Da wurde ich vor Angst gleich wieder nett!
Dann wollte Bübchen durchaus Kellner spielen
Ich war der Gast, der immer furchtbar durstig war
Und Bübchen goss mur Cognac ein, recht vielen –
Was dann geschah, ist mir nicht mehr ganz klar!
Vermutlich sank ich selig in die Kissen
Denn schließlich bin ich sowas nicht gewohnt
Entschlummerte mit ruhigem Gewissen
Jedoch der Junge hat mich dann belohnt!
Er deckte gütig zu den Babysitter
Und legte sich dann sanft hinzu –
Bald schnarchten beide wie ein Ungewitter
Vereint umarmt in selig selig süßer Ruh!
Die Eltern kamen morgens früh um viere –
Da Licht, es strahlte ringsumher –
Die Eltern standen wortlos in der Türe
Und sahen ihre Cognacflasche leer!
Da ist ein Stimmchen mir ans Ohr gedrungen
Wie durch entfernte Nebel fast –
Ich hörte diesen raffinierten Jungen:
"Mama, ich habe auf die Tante aufgepasst!"
