Back n Forth Lyrics by Iqtreyy

Settle The Waters

2023

[Intro]
Yeah
Yeah
Yeah
Yeah
Yeah
Yeah (let's go)
[Bridge]
Yeah, everything was better with you out my sight
Yeah, I wish that I never approached you
Cause now I’m alive
It’s the death of our friendship, the end of my life
And there’s no one that’s changing my mind
[Pre-Chorus]
I was moving a lil bit fast
Cause back then there I didn’t know how to act
Now I’m talking bout God
He gave the peace, the hope, and love
I'm not going to the island with the boys, no thuggin'
Hellcat race, red flag, imma run it
In hell, no way out, and I ain’t bluffing
Blood in my soul, now I’m hot like an oven
[Chorus]
And so he saved my life for a minute
I went back and forth again
Back and forth with him
Back and forth again
Back and forth with him
Back and forth again
Back and forth with him
And so he saved my life for a minute
I went back and forth again
Back and forth with him
Back and forth again
Back and forth with him
Back and forth again
Back and forth with him
[Verse]
Yeah, I got God in my life
Now I can put all my weight to the side
Got nothing but love which is just all I could say
When I was feeling a change, got nothing but pride
My character isn’t supposed to react
To people that party and smoke in the act
Forgiven from sin, I’m not going back
Cause God made an image that makes who I am
Still fighting my past, I wonder what happens
No matter who wins, there’s no other person
That keeps the rewards in the temple
No one but Jesus, the one I resemble
I’m putting my God first and I level
Ascended from earth, so now I’m in Heaven
Corrected myself and so now I feel better
Thank God cause he made me to know now
[Bridge]
Not everything was better with you out my sight
Yea I wish that I met you before all these things came to pass
The reunion of our friendship, the start of my life
And there’s no one that’s changing my mind
[Pre-Chorus]
I was moving a lil bit fast (yeah, woah)
Cause back then there I didn’t know how to act (yeah, woah)
Now I’m talking bout God (yeah, woah)
He gave the peace, the hope, and love (yeah, woah)
I'm not going to the island with the boys, no thuggin' (yeah, woah)
Hellcat race, red flag, imma run it (yeah, woah)
In hell, no way out, and I ain’t bluffing (yeah, woah)
Blood in my soul, now I’m hot like an oven (yeah, woah)
[Chorus]
And so he saved my life for a minute
I went back and forth again
Back and forth with him
Back and forth again
I went back and forth with him
Back and forth again
And so he saved my life for a minute
I went back and forth again
Back and forth with him
Back and forth again
Back and forth with him
