Hit the Floor Lyrics by Ivan & Alyosha

Ivan & Alyosha

2019

[Verse 1]
Wisdom says that dreams can still come true
Sorrow says sorry sometimes they don't
Hope says brother you should carry on
But only truth can tell you what you need to do
[Pre-Chorus 1]
So I put it all away
And thought about it well
I climbed up to the top
And that's where I fell
[Chorus 1]
I hit the floor and I fell hard
I was afraid I'd lose it all to fall apart
And as the dream slipped away
I forgot what to believe
I lost sight, forgot what it was for
I hit the floor
[Verse 2]
Question is to quit or carry on
When you're in a world full of doubt
Every fear against your only dream
Which is it you know that you can't live without
[Pre-Chorus 2]
So I took a step back in
Before I lost it all
Would I do it all again
Then I began to fall
[Chorus 2]
I hit the floor, I took a chance
I won't give up I don't know how
'Cause I want more
And if your hand starts to slip
And you know you must let go
There's a window when there is no open door
I hit the floor
[Bridge]
Come such a long, long way
To give up on this now
With everything at stake
What is it all about?
How so soon we forget
That we would never fall
If we weren't standing alone
[Instrumental]
[Chorus 3]
I hit the floor, I fell apart
I cannot give up on this now
We've come too far
With every dream slipped away
I lost sight of what I need
I let you down, forgot how to believe
[Outro]
I hit the floor
I hit the floor
