New Day Lyrics by Jacob Swann

Brother

2021

[Verse 1]
It's a new dawn, a new day
Sun's come up and the night gone away
I've been prayin' for hours
Just to see the break of day
[Verse 2]
'Cause for five nights in a row
I've been tossin' and twistin' all on my own
But now I think it's time I learn to let it go
[Chorus]
My feet firmly planted, fightin' temptations
I been wonderin' if I'm ever gonna make it
And when I start to doubt I'm ever gonna shake it off
I feel it rise within me, rise within me
I feel it rise within me, makin' freedom rise, oh
[Verse 3]
My feet are tappin', my hips are shakin'
My hearts not breakin' and if I'm not mistaken
There's a, a part of me thinkin'
I'm gonna be okay
[Chorus]
My feet firmly planted, fightin' temptations
I been wondеrin' if I'm ever gonna make it
Whеn I start to doubt I'm ever gonna shake it off
I feel it rise within me, I feel it rise within me
I feel it rise within me, makin' freedom rise
[Outro]
It's a new dawn, a new day
Sun's come up and the night gone away
It's a new dawn, it's a new day
Oh, it's a new dawn, it's a new day
