Living with Anxiety Lyrics by Jake Darus

2019

It's crazy how hit records can come at the weirdest of times
I just wrote this last night and we're putting it on the album
Really about to give you all a lot of wisdom
And show you the growth process that I've taken as a man
'specially with my anxiety
Living with anxiety but it’s a thing we always overcome
Always overcome
Media society present it to us feel the need to run
Feel the need to run
Living with anxiety it disappears whenever we relax
Whenever we relax
There’s so many ways to do it you don’t even need a Xanax
Need a Xanax
Listen
I've been in your shoes I’ve been in your position
Especially when panic hits you reminiscing
The fire’s automatic and the bullets spray
But I am here to say that it’ll be okay
Inhale through your nose go for four seconds
Hold that breath to seven go and count some blessings
Let it go for eight and watch you demonstrate
A scientific way to make it through the weight
Pressure from external sources will arrive
It’s all intrinsic you don’t think you will survive
But listen to the melody and soon the peace
Is on its way trust me today you are a beast
You are more prepared than you think you are
Stare it and declare it’s apart of who you are
Grab a brush or pencil therapy create some art
Or maybe call a friend you need releasing from the heart (uh!)
Listen
Brains has over dramatized we’re traumatized
But then we realize that it’s gon’ be alright
It’s gonna take some time, and take a couple steps
Go take a couple breaths all you can do is climb
You
Have got out the hole that you’re in
And I know today uncontrollably sucks
Tomorrow you are gonna win
Soon you will be nonchalant
You do whatever you want
Talking to your confidants or eating at your favorite restaurants
Playing like a kid again can put your mind at ease
Productivity or cleaning can provide relief
Hopefully I made you see that you can beat attacks
And turn into a don like Biggie Sean and bounce back
You are more prepared than you really think you are
Stare it and declare that it’s apart of who you are
I chose the beat you’re hearing cause it’s music therapy
The elements of song bring therapeutic clarity (uh!)
Living with anxiety but it’s a thing we always overcome
Always overcome (Always overcome)
Media society present it to us feel the need to run
Feel the need to run (Feel the need to run)
Living with anxiety it disappears whenever we relax
Whenever we relax (Whenever we relax)
There’s so many ways to do it you don’t even need a Xanax
Need a Xanax (You don't need a Xanax)
