The Journey Lyrics by Jake Darus

2020

I feel like every rapper has a song called the journey though
And this one is mine so
Fuck it!
I’m just sittin’ back and scheming
Plottin’ for the team and
Droppin’ tracks a week and
I record again on weekends
I’ve been dedicated
Never celebrated
Really I don’t give a fuck
The journey is amazing
Really I don’t care if you decide to join the wave
Either way I’m gonna blow like peeps in microwaves
Cause I’m making waves with sound that make you mesmerized
Feelin’ like I’m Biggie over beats you’re hypnotized
Hypnotized, got to check my dollar signs
I don’t got that many currently but we’ll be fine
All I know is I am on a journey to a place
Where all I’m gonna know is how to make the world amazed
So excuse my ego, I can just predict shit
I don’t need the logic or the shit that’s scientific
In the kitchen whip this, it’s addicting flip this
Feelin’ like I’m Chubb I run with grit and fuckin’ quickness
Feelin’ like I’m Jarvis, Mr. Reliable
I know I’m unstoppable and I am undeniable
Kickin’ rhymes around like I’m the goat I’m talkin’ Lionel
It gets pretty messy over beats it’s justifiable
Did you peep, the oxymoron like I’m Q?
Crashin’ blankin’ faces do it daily with the crew
Shoutout Brent Faiyaz, bitch I got the pizzaz
Meant to say the pizzaz, holy shit I really spazzed
Man it’s been a journey
Man it’s been a journey
Man it’s been a journey
Man it’s been a journey (Uh!)
